The Vagina Monologues
In 2007, David directed and co-produced Lawrence University's sixth annual production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. For his production of the play, David asked his friend Anneliese DeDiemar to have her folk/pop band Love, Claire play songs throughout the show. Love, Claire's music was an excellent complement to Ensler's original text, highlighting many of the honest and heartfelt themes presented in the work. Directed by David Hanzal, the cast for Lawrence University's 2007 production of The Vagina Monologues featured MarVanna Avery-Cash, Alicia Bones, Daniella Cartun, Brighton Fowler, Helen Kashap, Charlotte King, Mike Korcek, Caroline Mandler, Layla Schwartz, and Lauren Shorofsky. Scenography by Julia Robinson, Costume Design by Daniella Cartun, and Lighting Design by Kim Stabile.
